Code Enforcement Director - Roseland Borough.Is seeking a full- time Code Enforcement Director-35 hours per week- M-F 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. The Code Enforcement Director is responsible for overseeing and administering the municipality's code enforcement to ensure compliance with zoning, property maintenance, business licensing, and other municipal ordinances. The position supervises departmental staff, conducts inspections and investigations, coordinates enforcement activities with municipal and outside agencies, and represents the municipality in legal and administrative proceedings.
The Code Enforcement Director also manages departmental operations and provides reports and recommendations to the Mayor and Council. A qualified candidate will have one (1) year of experience conducting inspections or investigations to ensure compliance with laws, rules, regulations, or ordinances. Candidates with certificates in Planning/Zoning are preferred. Ability to interpret and apply municipal ordinances and regulations. Must have strong communication and organization skills.
Valid Driver’s License required. Salary $70,000-$85,000 plus pension and benefits.
