Summary

As a Lead Security Platform Engineer, you will join a highly skilled team providing world-class security program engineering, security consultation and security technology implementation for ADP's Global Security Organization (GSO).

Within the role you will design, develop, deploy, and maintain enterprise security platforms and automation solutions. This role combines cybersecurity expertise with software engineering to build scalable Python-based tools and modern Dev Sec Ops  capabilities.

Within the role you will interact with Security Architecture teams, project management and global IT teams to develop, deploy and enhance the overall security program.

Skill Requirements
  • 8+ years in Security Engineering, Software Engineering, or Dev Sec Ops
  • Advanced Python development experience
  • Experience with APIs, automation, and enterprise applications
  • Strong Git and Git Ops experience
  • Experience building and maintaining Jenkins CI/CD pipelines
  • Kubernetes, containers, and cloud-native technologies
  • AWS, Azure, or GCP experience
  • Strong Linux/Windows, networking, and application security knowledge
  • Experience debugging complex applications and infrastructure issues
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Relevant security or cloud certifications preferred
  • Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Ansible
  • Experience with observability and monitoring platforms
  • Knowledge of SIEM, SOAR, IAM, EDR, NDR, CSPM and related security technologies
  • Secure SDLC and code review experience
  • Experience with AI-assisted development tools is an asset
Qualifications Preferred
  • Advanced Python development experience and familiarity with API’s
  • Strong Git and Git Ops experience
  • Experience building and maintaining Jenkins CI/CD pipelines
  • Kubernetes, containers, and cloud-native technologies
  • AWS, Azure, or GCP experience
  • Automation experiencing using Ansible
  • Security Certifications
Responsibilities / Expectations
  • Lead development of Python-based security applications and automation
  • Design integrations between security tools and enterprise platforms
  • Develop and optimize Jenkins CI/CD pipelines
  • Implement Git Ops deployment methodologies
  • Maintain enterprise security platforms and services
  • Troubleshoot complex application and infrastructure issues
  • Create technical documentation and operational procedures
  • Evaluate new technologies and conduct proof-of-concepts
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical leadership
  • Support incident response and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Perform code reviews and champion secure coding practices
  • Automate operational workflows and security processes
  • Partner with architecture, operations, and development teams
  • Lead platform upgrades and lifecycle management activities
  • Provide training and knowledge transfer to support teams
  • Participate in technical interviews and hiring activities
