Buyer​/Planner

Buyer/Planner:
Full-Time, In Office (Monday-Friday)

A growing manufacturing company is seeking a Buyer/Planner to support purchasing, inventory management, production planning, and materials coordination. This role is ideal for a junior-level professional with 2-3 years of purchasing or supply chain experience who is looking to grow within a manufacturing environment.

The position will be responsible for ensuring materials are available to support production schedules while maintaining inventory accuracy and coordinating with vendors. This role also includes light Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable responsibilities.

• Purchase raw materials, components, and production supplies
• Coordinate purchasing activities to ensure materials arrive on time to support manufacturing schedules
• Plan, schedule, and monitor the movement of materials throughout the production process
• Manage inventory levels and perform inventory reviews, reconciliations, and adjustments
• Request supplier quotes and negotiate pricing when appropriate
• Expedite orders, returns, and vendor issues as needed
• Maintain bills of materials and purchasing records
• Track serialized inventory and support year-end inventory counts
• Communicate with engineering, production, and operations teams regarding material requirements
• Match vendor invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents
• Assist with Accounts Payable voucher and invoice entry
• Support Accounts Receivable activities as needed
• Provide general administrative support and assist other departments when required

• 2-3+ years of purchasing, buying, planning, inventory, or supply chain experience
• Manufacturing industry experience preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• ERP or inventory management software experience preferred
• Experience with production planning, inventory control, or materials management is a plus
• Knowledge of Macola software is a plus
