- Provide specialized instruction aligned to IEP goals, student skill levels, and curricular expectations as appropriate.
- Implement evidence-based supports for students with ASD (communication, behavior, social skills, independence, executive functioning).
- Establish structured routines and proactive classroom systems to support learning and regulation.
- Collaborate with CST, BCBAs, related service providers, and families to support consistent programming.
- Supervise and support paraprofessionals as assigned.
- Maintain compliance documentation including progress monitoring and IEP implementation records.
- Valid New Jersey Instructional Endorsement with one of the following endorsements:
- Teacher of Elementary School and Teacher of Student with Disabilities
- Teacher of the Handicapped Endorsement
- Demonstrated knowledge of subject matter, effective instructional strategies, and developmentally appropriate classroom practices.
- Experience working with structured teaching of students with ASD and diverse learning needs.
- Familiarity with ABA-informed practices, AAC supports, and data collection/progress monitoring.
- Ability to establish and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
- Full-time, non-benefits eligible
- Sick, Personal, and Bereavement allotments are not included
Salary: $66,000.00 (to be prorated for contract term)
