Ernest J. Finizio-Aldene Elementary School Dates:
August, 2026 - January, 2027

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction aligned to IEP goals, student skill levels, and curricular expectations as appropriate.
• Implement evidence-based supports for students with ASD (communication, behavior, social skills, independence, executive functioning).
• Establish structured routines and proactive classroom systems to support learning and regulation.
• Collaborate with CST, BCBAs, related service providers, and families to support consistent programming.
• Supervise and support paraprofessionals as assigned.
• Maintain compliance documentation including progress monitoring and IEP implementation records.

Qualifications:

• Valid New Jersey Instructional Endorsement.
  
  - Teacher of Elementary School and Teacher of Student with Disabilities or - Teacher of the Handicapped Endorsement
• Demonstrated knowledge of subject matter, effective instructional strategies, and developmentally appropriate classroom practices.
• Experience working with structured teaching of students with ASD and diverse learning needs.
• Familiarity with ABA-informed practices, AAC supports, and data collection/progress monitoring.
• Ability to establish and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.

Benefits:
Full-time, non-benefits eligible Sick, Personal, and Bereavement allotments are not included Salary: $66,000.00 (to be prorated for contract term)
