KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Implement lesson plans, daily schedules, classroom routines, and instructional activities.
- Maintain a safe, nurturing, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment.
- Support student engagement in whole-group, small-group, center-based, outdoor, and individualized learning experiences.
- Use positive guidance, redirection, and developmentally appropriate behavior supports.
- Support students' social-emotional development, independence, communication, and peer interactions.
- Collaborate effectively with preschool paraprofessionals, instructional coaches, related service providers, administrators, and other school staff.
- Follow classroom health, safety, supervision, toileting, arrival, dismissal, and emergency procedures.
- Support students with disabilities and diverse learning needs in inclusive preschool settings.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding students, families, staff, and school matters.
- Perform other preschool-related duties as assigned by the Director of Preschool, Bilingual Education & Funded Programs or designee.
- Valid New Jersey Instructional Endorsement - Elementary School Teacher N-8 or Teacher of Preschool required.
- Experience working with preschool-aged children strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate early childhood practices and New Jersey Preschool Teaching and Learning Standards preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, paraprofessionals, administrators, families, and related service providers.
- Demonstrated patience, flexibility, professionalism, and commitment to supporting the needs of young children.
- Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
SALARY: $66,000 (to be prorated for contract term)
