Our client is a stable, family-owned manufacturing company located in Roselle, IL with over 40 years of success. The company is known for strong employee retention and a long-term, team-oriented environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys taking ownership, working directly with ownership, and handling a broad range of responsibilities in a smaller company setting.

The base salary is $80,000-$100,000 which may be slightly negotiable based on experience.

Position Summary

The Senior Accountant will manage the day-to-day accounting function for the business, including AP, AR, payroll, general ledger, reconciliations, reporting, and other accounting-related responsibilities. Because this is a smaller organization, this role requires someone who is comfortable wearing many hats and handling both transactional work and higher-level accounting responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will have public accounting experience and the ability to operate independently while serving as a trusted accounting resource to company ownership.

This position is fully on-site in Roselle, IL, 5 days per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Process payroll using ADP
  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate financial records
  • Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities
  • Support year-end processes and work with external accountants as needed
  • Maintain accounting documentation, reporting, and internal controls
  • Assist ownership with financial reporting and ad hoc requests
  • Support light HR-related administrative needs as required (benefits coordination, employee documentation, etc.)
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of accounting experience in a corporate environment
  • Public accounting experience is a plus
  • Payroll processing experience, ADP experience strongly preferred
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
  • Must be able to work on-site in Roselle, IL 5 days per week
Preferred Qualifications
  • Manufacturing or industrial industry experience
  • GAAP exposure or experience
  • Experience in a small business or family-owned company environment
