Senior Accountant - Roselle, IL (100% Onsite)
$90,000-$105,000 Base + Discretionary Bonus
Our client, a growing manufacturing organization, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a highly visible role offering exposure to financial reporting, business partnering, strategic planning, process improvements, and acquisition activities.
Key Responsibilities Month-End Close & Financial Reporting- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Analyze financial results and prepare variance reporting
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities for operational improvements
- Provide financial insights and support decision-making across the organization
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
- Partner with finance leadership on acquisition due diligence and integration efforts
- Assist with special projects and strategic growth initiatives
- Coordinate external audits and tax-related activities
- Maintain strong internal controls and accounting procedures
- Recommend enhancements to accounting processes, systems, and reporting
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- CPA preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Manufacturing or industrial industry experience preferred
- Experience with Business Central or similar ERP systems
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and compliance requirements
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
