Paraprofessional

School Hours | Monday – Friday | Pay: $19.90 - $21.40 per hour

Supplemental Healthcare is hiring Paraprofessionals to join our team and work alongside teachers at partnering school districts to help students with special needs succeed - academically, socially, and emotionally.

Every day, you'll play a key role in creating a supportive, inclusive classroom environment where every student feels safe, capable, and valued.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent AND either a passing score on the ETS Para Pro exam OR an associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university; or at least two years of study (defined as 48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours) at an accredited college.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working with children
  • Prior experience working with children with special needs, physical/mental disabilities, or behavior management
  • Proficient in the use of standard computer applications
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
  • The ability to work collaboratively with existing staff

Contract Details:

  • Supporting students one-on-one or in small groups with classwork, communication, and daily routines
  • Helping implement behavior plans and IEP goals with care and consistency
  • Assisting students with special needs who may require help with mobility, personal care, or emotional regulation
  • Creating a positive learning environment where all students can thrive
  • Teaming up with teachers, therapists, and staff to make school a great place to be
  • Celebrating small victories every single day
  • Willingness to assist with physical or behavioral needs as required
