Lake Park High School is currently hiring for the internal-only position of Long-Term Substitute – Mathematics Teacher as detailed below.
Please note that this position requires coverage during periods 1, 2, 3, and 5, with the opportunity to work the remainder of the day.

AVAILABILITY:8/17/2026 to 9/4/2026 (anticipated)
QUALIFICATIONS:- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university
- Proper licensure required
- ESL endorsement preferred
- Experience preferred
- Proficient with PCs, tablets, and other mobile electronic devices
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Apps, and cloud-based applications
- Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed
- Demonstrated aptitude as a self-starter who works with minimal supervision
- Effective interpersonal skills and written and oral communication skills
- Effective communication, human relations, and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong orientation toward providing customer service
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work positively and productively with adults and high school-age students
Substitute teachers serve the District in the same capacity as a regular classroom teacher during their absence.
SALARY/RATE:This temporary position pays $59.51 per period for four instructional periods per day as per the attached Substitute Teacher Pay Structure. Any scheduled periods worked beyond the required four will be paid based on the employee's regular position and rate of pay.
