Salary

The hourly wage for this position starts ranges from $27.35 - $32.70 and varies based on specific responsibilities and geographic location. Starting hourly rate within this range will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and/or skillset.

Summary

The Quality Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the quality and compliance of products within a manufacturing environment. This position involves conducting inspections, tests, and audits to uphold the highest standards of quality.

Essential Functions
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections of products at various stages of the production process to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Conduct tests on materials and finished products to assess their quality and compliance with specifications.
  • Analyze test results and promptly communicate findings.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, tests, and quality‑related data.
  • Ensure compliance with documentation requirements and quality standards.
  • Investigate and identify the root causes of quality issues.
  • Collaborate with relevant teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Conduct regular audits of manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment to ensure accurate and reliable measurements.
  • Enforce quality control procedures to prevent defects and deviations in the production process.
  • Effectively communicate quality standards and expectations to production teams.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting and implementing enhancements to quality control processes.
  • Provide training to production staff on quality control procedures and standards.
  • Report and document non‑conforming materials or products. Collaborate with relevant teams to address and resolve non‑conformance issues.
Qualifications

Education:

High School Diploma or GED

Experience:

2‑5 years of experience in quality control roles within a manufacturing environment. Understanding of quality control principles, testing methods, and inspection techniques. Proficient in maintaining detailed and accurate records. Ability to analyze data and test results, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvement.
