School nurse at Roselle Middle School. Certified school nurse preferred. IDPH hearing and vision screener a plus.
Responsibilities- Work daily in middle school nurse's office to administer medications, provide medical treatment, and emergency care for students and staff. Communicate with parents, staff and students.
- Support other nurses to establish/maintain health priorities in both schools.
- Work closely with administration, teachers, parents and school secretaries to establish and maintain health and safety plans and protocols.
- Serve as a contributing member of the student support team by participating in special education meetings, and updating health history for students.
- Maintain accurate records with confidentiality and monitor compliance for immunizations and physical requirements.
- Coordinate vision and hearing screenings.
- Participate in building and district meetings and other programs as requested by administration.
