Hourly wage ranges from $35.50 – $40.00, based on responsibilities, qualifications, and location.

Summary: Perform duties to install and provide on‑demand/scheduled service and training for all general‑purpose equipment. Daily travel by auto with frequent overnight stays; drive time usually 1–6 hours.

Essential Functions:

• Perform daily tasks in accordance with safety regulations and complete all related training.
• Document daily service activities and expenses accurately in the recording system.
• Identify and solve complex problems by reviewing information and evaluating options.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics for installation, repair, upgrades, and retrofits.
• Provide technical support and training to Signode Technicians.
• Manage service call schedule for accuracy and completion.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment breakdowns involving mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic functions; perform preventive maintenance and part replacements.
• Adjust and test equipment for proper operation.
• Coordinate pre‑installation meetings with customers to review procedures and inspect sites.
• Report potential unsafe conditions and suggest solutions.
• Maintain customer relationships through professional communication of failures, problems, and corrective actions.
• Communicate essential information to customers, management, and engineering.
• Use intermediate PLC knowledge to troubleshoot and repair programmable logic controllers.
• Identify upgrade and retrofit opportunities and support quotation proposals.
• Design and conduct training programs for repair and preventive maintenance.
• Prepare non‑conformance reports and service bulletins.
• Work with Regional Service Manager on inventory sourcing and parts.

Education: High School Degree, Technical or similar College Degree

Experience:

• 4–5 years of transferable experience.
• Background in electrical, mechanical, blueprints, schematics, and PLC.
• Desirable:
  Professional courses in electrical, mechanical, or automation.
