Job Summary:

This position is for the  school year for Leonard V. Middle School

Qualifications/Responsibilities:

* Implement the Open Sci Ed  curriculum with fidelity, utilizing its inquiry-based instructional model

* Deliver engaging, standards-aligned science instruction grounded in NGSS

* Facilitate student-driven investigations, discourse and hands-on learning experiences

* Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and inform instruction

* Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners

* Collaborate with grade-level and content teams to analyze data and strengthen instructional practices

* Maintain a structured, safe and inclusive classroom environment

* Communicatee effectively with students, families and colleagues

* NJ Certification in Science (Middle School or appropriate grade level)

* Demonstrated experience implementing Open Sci Ed  or similar phenomenon-based science curriculum

* Strong understanding of NGSS and three-dimensional instruction and assessment

* Ability to integrate literacy and mathematical practices within science instruction

* Strong classroom management and organizational skills

* Excellent communication and collaboration skills

* Experience working in a middle school setting

* Experience supporting diverse learners, including multilingual learners and students with IEP's

* Familiarity with data-driven instructional practices

Salary:

REA Salary Guide Range

BA:
Step 1 $ 61,500.00- MA+30 Step 21 $ 104,807
