Job Summary:

This position is for a Spanish Teacher at Abraham Clark High School for the  school year

Qualifications/Responsibilities:

* Valid New Jersey Teaching Certification in Spanish or World Languages

* Bachelor's degree required;
Master's degree preferred

* Experience teaching middle school students (preferred)

* Strong knowledge of second language acquisition strategies

* Ability to engage and motivate adolescent learners

* Excellent classroom management and organizational skills

* Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Experince

* Experience working in urban or diverse school settings

* Familiarity with SEL practices and restorative approaches

* Experience integrating technology into instruction

* Bilingual (Spanish/English) proficiency

Key Responsibilities:

* Plan and deliver standards-based Spanish instruction for grades 9-12

* Develop engaging lessons that promote communication and language acquisition

* Integrate cultural components into daily instruction

* Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including students with IEPs and 504 Plans

* Assess student progress and use data to inform instruction

* Maintain a positive classroom environment with effective management strategies

* Collaborate with grade-level teams, special education staff, and administration

* Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress

* Participate in school-wide initiatives, including Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) programs

* Supervise students during assigned duties (e.g., lunch, recess, hallway transitions)

* Strong classroom management and consistency with setting rituals and routines.

Step 1 $ 61,500.00- MA+30 Step 21 $
