Interventionist (Reading Specialist - at Abraham Clark High School
Job Summary:
This position is for a High School Interventionist (Reading Specialist) for the School Year fo September 1, 2026 - June 30, 2027.
Qualifications/Responsibilities:
* Valid teaching certification (secondary level required; reading specialist certification and/or Orton-Gillingham preferred)
* Coordinates the collection and analysis of student data
* Provides targeted academic support to struggling high school students
* Delivers Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions within an MTSS framework
* Collaborates with general education teachers to close achievement gaps and improve student outcomes.
* Monitors grade-level proficiency and graduation readiness.
* Supports students performing below grade level in reading, writing, mathematics, and academic langua
Salary:
REA Salary Guide Range
BA:
Step 1 $ 63,000- MA+30 Step 21 $ 106,295
