This position is a Elementary Gifted and Talented Teacher for the 2026/2027 SY

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field required;
  Master's degree preferred.
• Valid elementary teaching certification.
• Experience administering and interpreting CogAT Screener.
• Experience differentiating instruction for diverse learners.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills. Knowledge of gifted education theory, instructional strategies, and assessment practices

• Plan and deliver differentiated instruction aligned with state standards and gifted education best practices.
• Develop enrichment activities, interdisciplinary units, and project-based learning experiences for advanced learners.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to support differentiation within the general education setting.
• Identify and assess students for gifted programming using district criteria and multiple measures.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate academic records and documentation.
• Foster higher-order thinking, creativity, leadership, and inquiry-based learning.
• Support students' social-emotional needs related to giftedness, including perfectionism, asynchronous development, and peer relationships.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student growth, programming, and enrichment opportunities.
• Participate in I&RS/MTSS, curriculum development, and school improvement initiatives as appropriate.
• Coordinate or support academic competitions, enrichment clubs, or special programs.
• Maintain knowledge of current trends and research in gifted education through ongoing professional development.
