Early Childhood Vice Principal

This is a Early Childhood Vice Principal for the  school year. Qualifications include a Master's Degree in Early Childhood or in a related educational field, preferably experience with Preschool through Grade 3. A New Jersey Department of Education Principal Certificate and New Jersey Teacher of Preschool through Grade 3 or New Jersey Elementary School Teacher Certificate are required. A criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status are also required.

Demonstrated leadership skills in the areas of curriculum development, program evaluation, staff development, and school improvement are necessary. Knowledge of effective teaching methods and developmentally appropriate classroom activities is required. Ability to maintain a positive learning environment, strong interpersonal and communication skills are also necessary.

Responsibilities include assisting in the development of instructional materials, planning and coordinating the work of teacher aides, teacher assistance, parents, and volunteers, developing activities for parents that promote parent participation and involvement in Early Childhood education activities for their children, interpreting the Early Childhood program to parents, reviewing and making recommendations for assessments used for evaluating students, developing and preparing budget, establishing and overseeing curriculum, meeting with other program specialists and program directors, evaluating the effectiveness of the Early Childhood Program, supervising the reporting and monitoring of student attendance, maintaining discipline throughout the school, and providing an orientation for all new staff personnel.

Salary: RAA Salary Guide Range $94,522.00 to $128,010.
