Job Summary:

This position is for a Spanish Teacher at Abraham Clark High School for the  school year.

Qualifications/Responsibilities:
Valid New Jersey Teaching Certification in Spanish or World Languages Bachelor's degree required;
Master's degree preferred Experience teaching middle school students (preferred) Strong knowledge of second language acquisition strategies Ability to engage and motivate adolescent learners Excellent classroom management and organizational skills Strong communication and collaboration skills Preferred Experience Experience working in urban or diverse school settings Familiarity with SEL practices and restorative approaches Experience integrating technology into instruction Bilingual (Spanish/English) proficiency

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver standards-based Spanish instruction for grades 9-12 Develop engaging lessons that promote communication and language acquisition Integrate cultural components into daily instruction Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including students with IEPs and 504 Plans Assess student progress and use data to inform instruction Maintain a positive classroom environment with effective management strategies Collaborate with grade-level teams, special education staff, and administration Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress Participate in school-wide initiatives, including Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) programs Supervise students during assigned duties (e.g., lunch, recess, hallway transitions) Strong classroom management and consistency with setting rituals and routines.
