Job Summary:

The position is a Computer Science Teacher for the  school year.

Qualifications:

• New Jersey Instructional Certificate (CTE Certification Computer Science)
• Strong knowledge of New Jersey Student Learning Standards
• Strong knowledge in subject area
• Ability to incorporate interdisciplinary connections as well as apply design thinking
• Ability to support staff with the use of technology tools
• Must be able to support staff members with the infusion of technology standards
• Basic knowledge of how computers work, from the basic science and mathematics behind their operation to the actual hardware and the software built on those foundations
• Can effectively communicate and provide feedback to students at all levels of understanding
• Ability to collaborate and develop strong engaging lessons for students that promote STEM, creativity, design thinking and innovation
• Possesses a great talent in the integration of technology
• Understand cross-curricular connections
• Ability to support teachers and student leadership teams
• Ability to promote strong learning culture
• Ability to collaborate and develop engaging lessons with the faculty and provide support through the classroom activities, coaching, co-teaching and modeling
• Ability to commit to participate in facilitated coaching/leadership planning
• Nurture and grow student opportunities for leadership in technology and STEM
• Knowledge of career ready practices
