Schedule:

8-hour shift, Evening shift, Monday to Friday, Weekend availability

Purpose: The Program Manager is responsible for the management of the Recovery Youth / Family Support Program under the Recovery Support Division, including direct oversight of 5-8 full-time equivalent direct reports. The Program Manager is responsible for managing team members and business operations that are assigned in the Recovery Youth / Family Support Program to achieve the goals of their division and the company overall.

The Program Manager is required to evaluate the Recovery Youth / Family Support Program and employee performance and ensure that the team's work complies with company policies and procedures. They must support new business development efforts through fundraising, marketing, and partnerships and should work closely with their division director and other staff as assigned to ensure the protection of the company's interests.

The Program Manager also assists in employee recruitment and provides training to the team and specific staff members upon hire and as needed. The position reports directly to the Division Director.

Job Description
:
The Program Manager serves as the liaison to the project funder, US Department of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) and NJ Division of Mental Health and Addiction (DMHAS) and ensures proper implementation and oversight of this grant which spans and serves Essex, Hudson, Middlesex, Monmouth and Union Counties. The Program Manager ensures that the programs policies and procedures are up to date and adhered to through proper documentation and participates in division strategic planning meetings with Division Director, CEO and other staff as assigned:

Grant Reporting
  • Assist with oversight of monthly, quarterly, and biannual programmatic reports related to federal, state, and county grants.
  • Provide regular reports to Division Director on grant deliverables and levels of services (at minimum monthly or as requested).
  • Assist with the hiring, training, and supervising of Recovery Youth / Family Support Program staff, including peer recovery specialists, case managers and per diem employees.
  • Provides direct task supervision to peer recovery specialists in collaboration with a clinical supervisor.
  • Ensure a proper orientation for all staff, interns, and volunteers, and provide supervision to BASW and MSW interns.
Recovery Support Responsibilities
  • Assist with the coordination of recovery engagement programs, training and other special events.
  • Provide educational programs for organization upon request.
  • Assist with the scheduling, and coordination of necessary meetings with recovery engagement staff.
  • Work with various community agencies and groups to plan and implement recovery support activities.
  • Answers phone appropriately; takes messages and makes appropriate referral when necessary.
  • Coordinate with program partners, including (but not limited to) treatment providers, occupational and pre‑vocational training providers, county one‑stop centers, and workforce development boards to identify gaps in the workforce resulting from substance use disorders and creating responsive job training and recovery support strategies to address them.
  • Develop and implement a continuous outreach plan to facilitate participant referrals to the program.

  • Professionally represent our organization in its community activities and maintain a positive attitude toward the promotion and development of programs sponsored by the agency.
