Job Summary:

The Procurement Agent supports technical purchasing and supply chain operations by negotiating supplier agreements, managing procurement activities, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies. The role focuses on purchasing technical equipment, systems, and components while maintaining strong supplier relationships and supporting sourcing strategies. This position requires the ability to analyze complex data, manage supplier contracts, and contribute to procurement strategies that align with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and sustainability commitments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Negotiate favorable terms, volume discounts, and long-term contracts with suppliers.
  • Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for technical equipment, custom-engineered products, systems, software, or components.
  • Develop an understanding of technology trends, market forces, and supplier technology roadmaps
    .
  • Review purchase order claims and contracts to ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Address product defects or delivery issues with suppliers and negotiate appropriate resolutions or refunds.
  • Support category sourcing strategies and manage tendering event activities.
  • Conduct contract reviews for audit compliance and perform spend analysis to evaluate long-term supply needs.
  • Manage day-to-day energy contracts in regulated and deregulated markets.
  • Use complex datasets to identify risks and opportunities across contract life cycles.
  • Support updates to supplier agreements and internal contracting policies.
  • Ensure risk management, ethical sourcing, sustainability, and legal compliance standards are maintained.
  • Protect and properly handle sensitive financial, cybersecurity, and organizational information.
Required Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, IT procurement, or contract management.
  • Experience negotiating supplier contracts and managing procurement processes.
  • Experience managing purchase orders, supplier relationships, and contract compliance activities.
  • Experience analyzing procurement data and supporting sourcing strategies.
