STAFF PSYCHOLOGIST, ROSEMEAD SCHOOL OF PSYCHOLOGY
The Rosemead School of Psychology at Biola University is conducting a search for a Staff Psychologist to begin in July 2026, possibly sooner. Strong candidates will be clinical or counseling psychologists, license-eligible in California, with significant clinical, supervisory, and/or teaching experience.
The successful candidate will serve at the Biola Counseling Center (BCC), administered by Rosemead. BCC serves both student and community clients, functioning as a training clinic and an approved APA‑internship.
This is a wonderful opportunity for a psychologist to join the BCC team and enjoy a blend of clinical supervision and teaching in the broader context of an academic community. This is a full‑time position with Administrative Faculty status and benefits, including health insurance, 403b match, and tuition remission opportunities. In addition to salary and benefits, our Staff Psychologists have the opportunity to see private clients for additional income.

Staff Psychologist, Biola Counseling Center/Rosemead School of Psychology
This is a full‑time position with Administrative Faculty status and benefits including: health insurance, retirement match (403b), tuition reimbursement for dependents, and support for professional travel.
BASIC FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITYThe Staff Psychologist is responsible for the clinical supervision of BCC doctoral psychology practicum students, teaching undergraduate and/or graduate psychology courses for the Rosemead School of Psychology, and for delivering psychotherapy and other clinical services to the Biola University campus community.
Essential Duties Teaching Activities- Teach up to 6 semester units of undergraduate or graduate psychology courses for Rosemead School of Psychology per year.
- Provide primary clinical supervision for up to eight first and/or advanced practicum students, including all clinical activities and services they perform, utilizing audio and video review.
- Review, edit and approve all clinical and crisis documentation for primary supervises (intakes, treatment plans, case notes, consultations, clinical letters, terminations, etc.).
- In collaboration with other BCC Staff Psychologists, develop and deliver orientation, weekly clinical training didactics, and supervision experiences that enhance practicum student clinical skills and professional development.
- Evaluate the clinical and professional functioning of BCC practicum students up to four times per year (mid‑semester Fall, mid‑year, mid‑semester Spring, final) depending on students’ training level. Participate in Rosemead 2nd year Evals for first practicum students.
- Provide occasional outreach consultation and educational programming for Biola University students, faculty and staff on topics which promote the overall health and wellness of the campus community.
- Each Staff Psychologist is on call 24/7 for campus, student or client crisis one week each summer (July/August).
- Oversee trainee participation in student care consultations and collaboration with Student Development staff in support of students of concern as needed and/or directed by the BCC Director.
