You will enable digital transformation by interfacing with key business stakeholders, listening to needs, and applying technical proficiency in data warehouses, data architecture, and data applications to drive automation and establish a centralized data warehouse for critical operational and compliance reporting and analytics.

- Optimizes performance and scalability of critical data pipelines.
- Develops reusable and parameterized pipeline components and templates. Provides analysis and support to Data Scientists for model development.
- Designs pipeline architectures and ETL processes using big data technologies to support business initiatives.
- Collaborates with stakeholders to elicit pipeline requirements and identify improvement opportunities. Utilizes data ingestion capabilities to ingest and preprocess data from various sources, designed and optimized.
- Troubleshoots and resolves issues with production pipelines.
- Ensures data pipeline continuity and integrity through testing and change management. Contributes to data dictionary and data mapping from sources to the target from SCIM Data Model. Design and develop Data-as-a-Service solutions to improve data consumption.
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Statistics/Mathematics or equivalent STEM major
- Five or more years of experience in processing large data sets, hands-on with data transformation, aggregation, and filtering
- Background in the utility sector and/or energy markets is highly desirable
- Experience in Snowflake (architecture, SQL, stored procedures, data management analysis) and/or strong proficiency with front-end Python frameworks (Streamlit, Dash, Flask, Django)
- Experience working with Power BI (and/or other visualization tools) to build dashboards and reports leveraging BI languages & frameworks (i.e. DAX, Power Query)
- Experience working with business stakeholders to understand business processes and goals and translate these needs into requirements and technology solutions
- Experience managing projects including defining scope, establishing business value and ongoing communication on status and risk
- Understanding of application design and life cycles
- Experience working closely with business stakeholders to understand needs and communicate to IT to meet stated goals
- Strong knowledge of data structures, data engineering concepts, algorithms, and collections
- Experience in large-scale cloud data migrations using Snowflake, Python, Spark, SQL
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, including planning, organizing and adaptability
- Ability to interact with team members at all levels of the organization and with cross-functional teams
- This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Details of work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
