This role will evaluate and design security solutions across enterprise technology environments including on-premises, hybrid, SaaS, and cloud platforms. The Cybersecurity Architect will translate business objectives and regulatory requirements into scalable security architectures, standards, and repeatable design patterns that enable secure solution delivery.
The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted subject matter expert (SME) and technical leader in enterprise cybersecurity architecture.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as a trusted Cybersecurity Architecture SME, aligning security solutions with strategic objectives, business outcomes, and enterprise risk posture.
- Partner with business, IT, and cyber stakeholders to gather and scope requirements; translate needs into security architecture guidance and control objectives.
- Evaluate technical feasibility and architectural tradeoffs to ensure scalable and practical security solutions.
- Develop and maintain enterprise security reference architectures, secure design patterns, and architectural guardrails for:
- Identity & Access Management (IAM)
- Network Security & Segmentation
- Endpoint & Workload Protection
- Application Security
- Data Protection
- Secure Remote Access
- Establish and govern security architecture principles aligned to industry best practices such as:
- Least Privilege
- Defense-in-Depth
- Secure-by-Design
- Conduct architecture and design reviews for new initiatives and major changes.
- Document security decisions, residual risks, compensating controls, and remediation recommendations.
- Define measurable and testable security requirements and control objectives.
- Collaborate with Cybersecurity Technology teams to shape product roadmaps and maturity strategies.
- Provide mentorship, technical guidance, and architectural documentation (standards, patterns, diagrams, decision records).
- Engage senior leaders to align security strategy with business priorities.
- 10+ years of experience in Information Technology, Information Security, and/or Cybersecurity.
- Experience designing security architectures for enterprise-scale environments.
- Strong experience in:
- Identity & Access Management (IAM)
- Encryption technologies
- Logging and Security Monitoring
- Vulnerability Management
- Endpoint and Workload Protection
- Data Protection
- Experience working with engineering and infrastructure teams in iterative delivery environments.
- Ability to translate security requirements into actionable technical designs.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience producing architecture artifacts such as reference architectures, standards, design patterns, and risk decision records.
