Senior Advisor, Data and AI Standards

Become a Senior Advisor, Data and AI Standards at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this role you will advance SCE’s data‑driven excellence and risk management practices by enabling AI‑ready data and establishing effective data management controls that safeguard the company’s interests. You will develop, integrate and enforce Data and AI governance standards, with a focus on automation, operational efficiency and minimizing business disruption.

• Develop and maintain enterprise policies and standards across Data Governance, AI Governance, Data Protection, Data Quality and Records Management.
• Partner with Enterprise Architecture, Cybersecurity, Data Engineering, Data Science and Data Operations teams to integrate, communicate and enforce Data and AI standards.
• Manage the lifecycle of company standards, including timely updates and exception governance.
• Enhance adoption and operational efficiency of data standards through enabling technologies (e.g., Informatica Data Catalog).
• Drive clear ownership and stewardship to align departmental practices with enterprise standards and ensure effective enforcement.
• Contribute to Enterprise Information Governance strategy and roadmap development, implementation and leadership reporting.

• Ten or more years of experience with information governance and data management practices and processes.

• Master of Computer Science or similar degree.
• Proven experience implementing data strategy, effective collaboration with cross‑functional teams, demonstrating strong technical skills, and enforcing regulatory compliance.
• Experience driving innovation and cultural change.
• One or more relevant certifications such as CISO, CSA, CISSP, ITIL, Six Sigma.

• Work mode is hybrid
  . The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Employees are required to work and reside in the state of California unless otherwise noted.

• The primary work location for this position is Rosemead, CA.
• This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position – prior to being hired, the successful candidate must pass a Personnel Risk Assessment or Background Investigation.
