Overview
Become a Compliance Application Developer Senior Specialist at Southern California Edison (SCE), driving enterprise compliance technology solutions that enable scalable, automated, and auditable processes across the organization. In this role you will design and build innovative applications to support critical compliance programs, partnering closely with business and IT leaders to deliver secure, efficient, and data‑driven solutions that modernize compliance capabilities and help power a cleaner planet.
Responsibilities- Analyze user feedback and interface with key stakeholders to apply technical proficiency through the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Collaborate with the business to translate needs into analytics and reporting requirements.
- Document, implement, and support solutions such as data models, cubes, and reports to support data analysis.
- Deliver high‑quality code, lead validations for testing and all implementation‑related activities.
- Perform code reviews, unit tests, and track the status of assigned projects to ensure timely completion and maintain communication with project management regarding progress of work.
- Coach and educate end users on best practices, standards for querying, and proper use of reports and cubes.
- Identify opportunities for improving software development methods and procedures. Research database issues, standards, and products and develop technical documentation and handbooks for application design and code specifications.
- Collaborate closely with production support teams, platform teams, and business partners to handle technical aspects of the application, including implementation, change management, maintenance, platform upgrades, and changes to requirements from both upstream and downstream interfacing applications. Analyze present state to develop alternative future‑state approaches and facilitate implementation.
- Ensure the protection of all company assets and the proper management of private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other highly sensitive information with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
- Five or more years of experience in application development utilizing SDLC and/or Dev Ops practices.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience in coding and/or application development.
- Experience using MS Power Platform, including Model‑driven Power Apps, Dataverse, and Power Automate.
- Experience extending low‑code solutions with JavaScript, APIs, or custom connectors.
- Experience translating business requirements into scalable, maintainable applications.
- Experience with troubleshooting systems and documenting results.
- This position’s work mode is hybrid. Employees are required to work and reside in the state of California and may work remotely on remaining days as discussed during interviews.
