Responsibilities- Lead the planning, execution, and governance of strategic CSOC programs, initiatives, and projects.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts to ensure successful delivery of CSOC capabilities, technology implementations, and process improvement initiatives.
- Track program milestones, risks, dependencies, budgets, and deliverables, providing regular status updates to leadership.
- Coordinate participation in enterprise initiatives that impact CSOC operations and cybersecurity readiness.
- Lead cybersecurity planning and operational readiness activities for large-scale events, including major sporting events, public-facing initiatives, executive events, and other high‑visibility activities.
- Coordinate CSOC preparation for internal audits, external audits, regulatory reviews, and assessments.
- Assist with development and maintenance of CSOC policies, standards, procedures, program documentation, and the team SharePoint repository.
- Maintain program dashboards, project tracking tools, and performance metrics to measure operational effectiveness.
- Support Cybersecurity incident response operations, primarily in the function of CSIRT Coordinator.
- Manage cybersecurity project delivery by ensuring the cybersecurity team meets success criteria.
- Deliver project reporting for assigned projects, conduct critical analysis of project status, potential risks, and continual process improvement.
- Coordinate and perform appropriate maintenance to ensure reliable and secure performance of security systems, including applying security patches, implementing version upgrades, modifying and improving services, and performing ongoing operational management tasks.
- Contribute to an overall cybersecurity governance strategy, standards, and operational procedures.
- Ensure technology risks impacting the business are effectively identified, quantified, communicated, and managed, including recommendations for resolution and identifying root causes/key themes.
- Prepare and update Plan of Actions & Milestones (POA&M) that identify security weaknesses, establish milestones, and implement compensating controls for remediating these weaknesses, while tracking the progress and effectiveness of the remediation.
- Oversee the production of evidence to support internal and external audits.
- Provide cybersecurity and risk assessments for new networks, services, and devices as needed.
- Drive periodic monitoring of audit logs in accordance with requirements, and report findings and concerns for further analysis and action, including breach notification and initiation of incident response, in accordance with protocols and procedures.
- Deliver programs and processes to reduce information security risk and strengthen SCE's security posture.
- Ensure the protection of all physical, financial, and cybersecurity assets, and manage private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
- Seven or more years of experience in information technology, information security, and/or cybersecurity.
- US Citizenship Required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
- Five or more years of experience leading or supporting cybersecurity, security operations, incident response, technology, or enterprise risk management programs.
- Experience managing complex, cross‑functional projects involving multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, and executive visibility.
- Experience overseeing cybersecurity vendor relationships, managed security service providers (MSSPs), consulting engagements, contract deliverables, statements of work (SOWs), and service‑level performance.
- Strong executive communication skills with experience preparing and delivering presentations, dashboards, reports, briefing materials, and decision‑support documents for senior leadership.
