The candidate should have a very strong technical foundation, a strategic mind-set, great communication skills and the ability to collaborate well within the team and the client.
The responsibilities of Desktop Architect are as follows:
- SCCM
- Create complex and dynamic collections, advertisements, queries, reports, other technical documents as required and manage local and remote site boundaries, site systems, site roles, inter-site dependencies and communication
- Ensure timely deployment of software updates, critical patches, and out-of-band releases
- Maintain and update current OSD images and documentation for workstations
- Provide tactical and in-depth troubleshooting support of systems problems and all issues related to the SCCM infrastructure or functionality
- Perform, coordinate, implement regular maintenance and upgrades to utilize new features, maintain operational efficiency, and decrease risk for downtime.
- Create custom OSD Task Sequences utilizing Microsoft scripting technologies and components such as Power Shell, VBScript, WMI, .NET and XML, that will aid in deployment of software, packages, and configurations of operating systems, packaged software, and in-house applications
- Assess existing SCCM 2012R2 infrastructure to provide recommendations, research and integrate new technologies or upgrades that will improve the overall quality of service while reducing total cost of ownership
- Intune
- Management in administering and configuring mobile devices for enterprise users via Office 365, Intune Standalone, Hybrid (SCCM Integration with Intune), and Azure Active Directory Environments
- Manages custom Intune roles and add assignments for built-in Intune roles
- Provide support to clients in administering deployment of policies (configuration and compliance) to company owned/user owned mobile devices
- Scope client’s issue by collecting relevant facts, investigating the problem by doing self-research and by involving other teams as needed
- Report software bugs and advocate for product improvement using client suggestions
- Create advanced online technical content including Knowledge Base articles and documents
- Others
- Create, update and maintain incidents, Change Requests and knowledge base documentation for software deployment, imaging and patching in our ITSM tool
- Accountable for continuously evolving, and innovating the end-user computing environment while aligning with business strategies
- Provides ongoing operation/support of enterprise-wide applications, databases, and technology
- Participates in planning and execution of new systems implementation/ deployment
- Creation and troubleshooting Power Shell scripts
- Sound knowledge on Microsoft Windows Operating System environment which includes OS upgrade to Win

Roles & Responsibilities:
The Desktop Architect will be responsible for building Windows images, creating task sequence, SCCM tool management, Intune management, Deployments through Tanium, Cyber Security tools management and application packages that will be used across the enterprise. This includes building, testing and deploying 3rd-Party patches across the enterprise.
Expert in Advanced SCCM administration and troubleshooting
Expert in installing and configuring SCCM
Proficient in SCCM software updates & patch management
Proficient in SCCM Infrastructure Design
Knowledge of Packaging and Sequencing
Knowledge of PKI, scripting languages, AD/GPO
Proficient in Windows Server Administration and Configuration
Proficient in Networking, netstat, portqry, IIS
Scripting ability highly desired (whether with Power Shell, WMI, VBScript, etc.).
