Detailed job description
- Skill Set:

· Should be able to design data warehousing data mart solutions thru Hadoop/Talend

· Should be able to work with client in defining the business requirements and convert them to technical requirements, design the solution approach

· Should be able to do data modelling, data architecture data profiling, building data pipelines

· Should be able to do build, support and maintenance of big data applications

· Should be able to create Source to Target maps and ETL data flow design

· Should be able to create proof of concept (PoC) in providing big data

· Should be able to do data profiling and source data analysis to assess data quality and working with business to resolve data anomalies

· Should be able to guide, mentor team and review the end to end solution

· The candidate must be a team player and is also expected to help the team in meeting business need

Qualifications Basic:

· Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required. Electrical Engineering or Power Systems background preferred

· At least 12+ years of experience with listed responsibilities and skill sets.

Must have skill:

· Excellent understanding of Data Warehousing Concepts with wide experience in ETL design and architecture

· Should have extensive work experience on various components of Hadoop Eco system like HDFS, Hive, Sqoop, Map Reduce, Talend and Kafka

· Should have strong data modeling, data architecture, data profiling, database design experience to build Data Warehousing and Data Mart solutions

· Should have strong understanding of power utilities system landscape and data

· Should have excellent soft-skills and leadership skills to lead architecture and design workshops and interact at CXO level

· Excellent analytical skill

Preferred Skill:

· Understanding of utility market and technology trends

· Cloud data services work experience

· Working experience in one of the transformational program and/or large data migration program

· Work experience in Snowflake

· Experience in utilities in North America

Technical Skills
