Become an IT Sourcing Specialist at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this role you’ll support and develop sourcing strategies within the Operational Procurement organization for various material categories.
Responsibilities- Assist in driving innovation, improving ways of working, and enhancing supplier management systems. Aid in executing purchasing and sourcing strategies, address short‑term and long‑term material requirements to achieve timely delivery, right quality, and optimum cost.
- Assist with analysis supporting resolution of risk issues and gap identification.
- Participate in negotiation processes to achieve best value and commercial terms on moderately complex purchase orders, change orders, RFPs, and contracts/agreements.
- Assist in training peers and stakeholders on the procurement process.
- Maintain effective stakeholder relationships with internal customers to become a trusted business partner.
- Identify critical suppliers and create engagement plans to proactively manage supply‑chain risk and support continuous improvement.
- Understand supplier position, desired outcomes, and leverage points to establish structured negotiation plans with stakeholder input.
- Ensure protection of all physical, financial, and cybersecurity assets and properly manage private customer data and sensitive information with high standards of conduct and integrity.
- Three or more years of experience in supply chain, procurement, and/or contract management.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience using SAP software in a purchasing environment, including Ariba sourcing, contracting, and P2P modules.
- Knowledge of procurement contracts and standard terms and conditions.
- Understanding of industry best practices, standards, utility regulations, and compliance related to purchasing.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and make strategic decisions.
- Certifications such as CPM, CPSM, CPCM, CCCM, or PMP.
- This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on remaining days. Employees are required to work and reside in California unless otherwise noted. Work mode may change based on business needs.
