Licensed Vocational Nurse

Position Overview

Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) – NOC: 11:00 pm‑7:30 am. BHC Alhambra Hospital, 115 bed acute psychiatric facility located in Rosemead, California. The facility serves children, adolescents, and adults with behavioral health, substance abuse, and eating disorder treatment.

• Accurately collect data needed for the integrated assessment.
• Take and record vital signs properly.
• Observe for changes in patient’s appearance, behavior, and ability to work toward treatment plan goals.
• Communicate changes in patient’s condition to the Charge Nurse.
• Report signs and symptoms of infection in resident to the Charge Nurse.

• Education
  :
  Graduate from an accredited professional vocational school of nursing or vocational training as a psychiatric technician, preferably with education in Child and Adolescent Development.
• Experience
  :
  Minimum one year LVN in psychiatric nursing preferred, with six months experience in Child and Adolescent Development preferred.
• Licensure
  :
  Licensed to practice vocational nursing from the State Board of Nursing or Psychiatric Technicians.
