Assistant Store Manager & Supervisor

Job Summary

As a member of Management, you will be the heartbeat of our store, responsible for managing daily operations, inspiring a high-performance team, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. You’ll have the autonomy to shape the store’s success and contribute to our company’s growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit, train, and develop a motivated team; foster a positive work environment, set clear goals, and provide ongoing feedback to ensure top performance.
  • Deliver an exceptional shopping experience by addressing customer needs, resolving issues, and ensuring high standards of customer service.
  • Drive store sales and profitability through effective merchandise management, promotional strategies, and achieving sales targets.
  • Oversee daily operations including inventory management, visual merchandising, and store maintenance; ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations.
  • Manage store budgets, control expenses, and analyze sales data to optimize performance and drive revenue growth.
  • Implement local marketing initiatives and build strong relationships with the community to enhance brand presence and attract new customers.
  • Stay current with industry trends and competitor activities; identify opportunities for improvement and implement innovative solutions to enhance store operations.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as required.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Retail Store Manager or similar role with a track record of achieving sales targets and managing a team.
  • Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Passion for delivering outstanding customer service and creating memorable shopping experiences.
  • Ability to analyze sales data, manage budgets, and make data‑driven decisions.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
  • Proficiency in retail management software and basic computer applications.
  • Open availability to open and close the store, including mornings, days, and nights; required minimum of 5 days per week with a typical workload of 44 hours, increasing during peak periods.
  • Must have reliable transportation and be able to read, write, and perform basic mathematics in English.
  • May need to relocate within the company's network based on operational needs and career growth opportunities.
Minimum Requirements
  • Assistant Store Manager:
    Open availability to open and close the store, minimum 5 days per week, average 44 hours (increasing during peak periods).
  • Supervisor:
    Minimum of 5 days of availability, 30 hour work week, plus weekends and holidays as required.
  • All management:
    Punctuality, regular attendance, and compliance with company policies.
Physical Demands
  • Require prolonged standing (≈5–14 hours per day) and long periods during peak sale times.
  • Stoop, kneel, reach, pull, and lift merchandise (5–25 lbs regularly; sometimes heavier).
  • May climb ladders or stairs to stock merchandise.
  • Must have good vision, including color differentiation.
  • Workplace is moderately noisy.
Education

High School Diploma or GED equivalent; 2+ years’ experience in retail leadership strongly preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Assistant Manager pay range: $19.38 – $22.50 per hour with bonus opportunities if store KPIs are met.
  • Supervisor pay range: $17.40 per hour.
  • All roles eligible for the company 401K plan.
  • Full‑time roles eligible for medical, dental, vision, sick leave, parental leave, and company‑paid time off.
