Job Responsibilities
- Create and plan ELD curriculum and instruction for English Learners.
- Teach ELD standards aligned with the curriculum of Independent School District 196.
- Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and coaches to plan and support classroom teachers and the needs of multilingual learners.
- Licensed by the State of Minnesota to teach ESL.
- Licensed by the State of Minnesota to teach high school English.
- Strong general academic background.
- Ability to relate positively to students, staff, and community.
- Demonstrated planning and organizational skills.
- Commitment to equity and culturally responsive teaching.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated experience and proficiency working with a culturally, ethnically, racially and socioeconomically diverse school community is preferred.
Responsible to the Teaching and Learning Coordinator and Building Principal.
Compensation & BenefitsAccording to contractual agreement.
