Job Description
Da Kota County Technical College seeks a temporary, part‑time Electrical Linework Instructor dedicated to excellence in teaching who desires to become part of a creative, vibrant, student‑centered learning community.
Program Start DatesSummer cohort starts July 6, 2026. Fall cohort starts August 24, 2026.
Responsibilities- Teach electrical linework curriculum, including lecture and labs.
- Responsible for all teaching and learning activities, including instructional planning, curriculum development, student evaluation and records, classroom preparation and management, interpersonal relations, promoting safety, participating in professional development, teamwork, maintaining professional skills and credentials, and participating on college teams.
- Faculty assigned less than 5 credits: per credit rate of $775 – $1,650.
- Faculty assigned 5 or more credits: $43,067 – $96,601 annually (based on 1.0 FTE of 32 credits per year). Salary placement is determined by education and experience under the 2025‑2027 MSCF Contract.
- Diploma in an electrical linework program.
- Four full‑time (or equivalent) years of verified related paid work experience in electrical linework.
- One year of this work experience within the five years preceding the application date. Waiver if two years of postsecondary teaching in the field within the last five years.
- Higher education teaching experience with diverse student populations.
- Experience with learning communities or team teaching.
- Experience in curriculum development.
- Experience incorporating technology into curriculum delivery, including web‑enhanced and online instruction.
- Experience developing and using student‑centered, active, and experiential learning strategies.
- Experience integrating cross‑cultural and interdisciplinary perspectives in instruction.
- Experience assessing student academic achievement of campus‑wide and classroom learning outcomes.
- Experience with accelerated adult learning.
Monday–Friday, primarily daytime hours. Occasional evening hours may be required for events such as open houses and special events.
Weekly HoursPart‑time, variable schedule (approximately 20–32 hours per week based on program needs).
