Job Title
This position will focus on progress monitoring of students who are placed in intervention classes.
Job Summary:
Assess student needs and construct strategies that aid students with accomplishing academic success, while preserving continuous communication with parents. Implement appropriate strategies for academic intervention. Work collaboratively with staff to offer insight in the development of academic goals & objectives for students. Collaborate with student support team (teachers, counselors, administration) to design individualized/accommodated programming for success. Attend Learning Team meetings when necessary for student success.
Engage students with suitable classroom management techniques. Keeping records of lesson plans, and records of student's performance. Facilitate and support learning aligned to the curriculum of Independent School District 196. Carry out responsibilities as defined by the master contract. Carry out responsibilities as defined by the principal Maintain good communication and cooperation with staff and parents.

Provide educational interventions and progress monitoring for students who need additional support Use identified scientific, research-based interventions focused specifically on individual student difficulties Implement the MTSS model of increasingly intense student interventions and monitor student progress according to prescribed procedures Maintain data-based documentation of continuous monitoring of student performance and progress during interventions
Qualifications:
Licensed by the state of Minnesota to teach middle school. Strong general academic background. Ability to relate positively to students, staff, and community. Demonstrated experience and proficiency working with a culturally, ethnically, racially and socioeconomically diverse school community is preferred.

Compensation / Benefits:
According to contractual agreement. If benefit eligible, benefits are available to new employees effective the first day of active employment.
