Kelly Education is hiring substitute teachers and paraprofessionals for Rosemount Intermediate School District 917. Minimum RequirementsSubstitute Teacher:
- Bachelors degree or higher
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) Substitute Teaching License OR Tier 3 or 4 Teaching License. If you are not yet licensed but hold a Bachelor's degree in any subject, you are eligible to apply for licensure! Let us know and we can help connect you with the MDE.
Substitute Paraprofessional:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and passing Para Pro exam
- If you have Bachelors degree - Para Pro exam not required
- Must be able to pass a background check.
Pay rates:
- Teacher $35/hour
- Para $22.55/hour

Teacher Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with lead teachers to implement lesson plans and provide additional support to students with diverse learning needs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and supported.
- Assist students in understanding and completing assignments, reinforcing classroom instruction while promoting social and emotional development by encouraging positive peer interactions.
- Substitute teachers may also be referred to as substitute educator, guest teacher, or relief teacher.
Paraprofessional Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with lead teachers to implement lesson plans and provide additional support to students with diverse learning needs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and supported.
- Assist students in understanding and completing assignments, reinforcing classroom instruction while promoting social and emotional development by encouraging positive peer interactions.
- Substitute aides may also be referred to as paraprofessionals, education technicians, teacher aides, instructional assistants, classroom assistants or education assistants.
