**** Job Description
** The director will lead and direct the Civil Engineering Technician Program under limited supervision, including establishing program goals, operational procedures, and long-range work plans; managing program resources; and ensuring alignment with institutional, industry, and accreditation requirements.

** Salary Range:**$28.26 - 41.43/Hour
** Minimum Qualifications
*** Two full-time years of verified related paid occupational experience in civil engineering and/or land surveying filed, performing duties as a technician, engineer or surveyor.  A Bachelor's degree may substitute for one year of experience; an Associate's degree may substitute for six months of experience.  Degree must be in civil engineering technology, land surveying technology, or civil engineering.
* One year of this work experience shall be within the last five years The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in Civil Engineering within the last five years.

** In accordance with the Minnesota State Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, employees driving on college/university business who use a rental or state vehicle shall be required to conform to Minnesota State's vehicle use criteria and consent to a Motor Vehicle Records check.

** This is a part-time (.5 FTE, 20 hours per week) position. Work hours are flexible within the department’s standard operating hours of 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, Monday–Friday.
