Speech Language Pathologist in Early Childhood Special Education

Provide speech and language services and consultation to infants, toddlers, and preschoolers within the home setting. This position will be on the stretch calendar. Effective date of employment: beginning of the 2026-27 school year. Final date to receive applications:

Job Summary:

• Provide speech and language services to three, four, and five year olds
• Use appropriate assessment tools to evaluate students, interpret results, write evaluation reports, and determine eligibility for speech and language services per Minnesota state criteria
• Gather and organize information to develop Individualized Education Programs
• Work collaboratively with families and with other professionals as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Support a positive learning environment
• Carry out responsibilities as defined by master contract and supervisor
• Travel between sites may be required and reimbursed per district policies
• Collaborate with others to support students with disabilities in the least restrictive environment, including supporting and performing the necessary delegated health tasks

Qualifications:

• Current PreK-12 Speech/Language Pathologist Licensure through the Minnesota Department of Education
• MA as Speech/Language Pathologist
• Experience with implementing intervention strategies and using augmentative and assistive technology with 3-5 year olds with speech and language disabilities
• Ability to relate positively to students, staff, and community
• Knowledge of working with culturally and linguistically diverse populations and families
• Demonstrated experience and proficiency working with a culturally, ethnically, racially and socioeconomically diverse school community is preferred

Compensation / Benefits:
According to contractual agreement. If benefit eligible, benefits are available to new employees effective the first day of active employment.
