Interim Payroll Specialist

The Interim Payroll Specialist will provide part-time support for weekly payroll processing and employee payroll inquiries. This role will partner closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and a positive employee experience. The ideal consultant brings strong payroll expertise, experience with Paylocity, and the ability to work independently with minimal oversight.

Salary Range: Hourly rate between $45-$60, DOE

• Process weekly payroll accurately and on schedule
• Review payroll data to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Respond to employee payroll questions and inquiries
• Partner with payroll vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve payroll issues
• Maintain payroll records and supporting documentation
• Assist with payroll audits, reporting, and reconciliations as needed
• Ensure compliance with payroll policies and applicable regulations
• Support process improvements and payroll best practices

• Proven payroll processing experience
• Strong Paylocity experience required
• Experience managing payroll inquiries and employee support
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to work independently in a part-time consulting capacity
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Experience partnering with payroll vendors and external partners
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
