The Assistant General Manager plays a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, supporting the General Manager with team leadership, patient flow, staff development, and administrative responsibilities. This role helps drive performance, foster a positive team culture, and uphold Elevate Eye Care’s high standards for patient care and service.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily clinic and optical operations
- Lead by example in delivering exceptional patient service and team professionalism
- Support staff scheduling, timekeeping, and daily workflow coordination
- Monitor and support performance metrics, including patient wait times, appointment flow, and sales goals
- Help onboard, train, and coach new and existing team members
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and brand standards
- Address and resolve patient concerns with professionalism and empathy
- Collaborate with the General Manager and providers to ensure a well‑organized, efficient work environment
- Monitor inventory, order supplies, and support optical merchandising as needed
- Step in as acting manager during GM absences or high‑volume periods
- Participate in team meetings, performance reviews, and process improvement initiatives
- 2+ years of experience in a supervisory or team lead role, preferably in a healthcare, optical, or retail environment
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, patient‑centered environment
- Working knowledge of scheduling, POS systems, and EHR platforms; experience with RevolutionEHR, Eyefinity, or similar systems is a plus
- High school diploma required
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
