Position Overview

The Assistant General Manager plays a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, supporting the General Manager with team leadership, patient flow, staff development, and administrative responsibilities. This role helps drive performance, foster a positive team culture, and uphold Elevate Eye Care’s high standards for patient care and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily clinic and optical operations
  • Lead by example in delivering exceptional patient service and team professionalism
  • Support staff scheduling, timekeeping, and daily workflow coordination
  • Monitor and support performance metrics, including patient wait times, appointment flow, and sales goals
  • Help onboard, train, and coach new and existing team members
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and brand standards
  • Address and resolve patient concerns with professionalism and empathy
  • Collaborate with the General Manager and providers to ensure a well‑organized, efficient work environment
  • Monitor inventory, order supplies, and support optical merchandising as needed
  • Step in as acting manager during GM absences or high‑volume periods
  • Participate in team meetings, performance reviews, and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in a supervisory or team lead role, preferably in a healthcare, optical, or retail environment
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, patient‑centered environment
  • Working knowledge of scheduling, POS systems, and EHR platforms; experience with RevolutionEHR, Eyefinity, or similar systems is a plus
  • High school diploma required
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Passion for delivering outstanding patient care and team development
