BuyerInventory Planner

Job Description

The Buyer/Inventory Planner is responsible for procuring raw materials from established and new vendors, planning, scheduling and monitoring the movement of materials through the production cycle. This includes regularly interacting with suppliers and managing inventory levels.

Duties include:

• Negotiating lowest pricing on all purchases for company.
• Placing purchase orders and expediting items on a daily basis.
• Maintaining accuracy of orders in regards to quantity, pricing and due dates.
• Track the status of requisitions, contracts, and orders.
• Maintaining current costs in pricing.
• Regulating inventory, maintaining stock, verifying efficient use of materials leaving warehouse, updating inventory as needed.
• Arranging shipments of parts and machinery both domestically and internationally.
• Maintaining bill of material of each machine manufactured.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

Requirements:

• Proficient with Microsoft Office:
  Word, Excel, Outlook, Quick Books
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and completeness while meeting deadlines
• Self-directed and possesses a high level of productivity and personal organization
• Excellent communication skills including verbal, written and interpersonal
• Plan and organize tasks and work responsibilities to achieve goals and objectives
