Operating Mechanic ALocation
Onsite – Mosaic Pine Bend, 5300 Pine Bend Trail, Rosemound, Minnesota 55068
Responsibilities- Unload sulfur rail, barges, and trucks; load sulfur vessels and barges.
- Operate prilling operations and perform general operations and maintenance at Mosaic’s non‑union distribution sulfur facilities.
- Demonstrate commitment to environmental, health, and safety by complying with all EHS policies, wearing proper PPE, reporting unsafe conditions, and attending safety meetings and training.
- Showcase positive behavioral qualities such as teamwork, dependability, approachability, and continuous learning.
- Participate in the progression program to train and demonstrate competency in all standard operating procedures (SOPs): control room operator, vessel person‑in‑charge, hazardous material technician, gantry operator, payloader operator, and dry‑product rail loader/unloader.
- Complete maintenance training to maintain competency in preventive maintenance for truck and rail loading/unloading stations, relief valves, mobile equipment repair, and conveyor belt system.
- High school diploma or GED certificate (preferred); associate degree in process technology also preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience in an industrial setting operating mobile equipment (chemical or industrial operations preferred).
- Basic computer skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) – required once in role.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Basic math abilities (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Strong adaptability when operating equipment to distribute sulfur.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean work environment and compliance with safety and environmental policies.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs unassisted regularly; climb stairs and work at various heights; work in hot or cold environments; work in tight or closed‑in spaces; use fine hand‑motor skills; work rotating shifts and overtime; hear, see with or without correction; use a respirator when required.
