Leasing Specialist

Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced leasing agent to join one of our client’s team at (1) of their property in Rosemount, MN (55068). This role will be part time – 3 days a week. The ideal candidate will have 1 year of experience leasing with market rate properties, social media/marketing, event planning/coordinating skills and attention to detail. This role is contract to hire (90 days before conversion).

This role will be working with (1) building that was built in in 2021, with 124 market rate units, 4 stories.

Salary: $18/hour DOQ. This role is contract to hire (90 days before conversion.

Schedule: Monday, Wednesday and Friday - 15 hours per week.

• Develop full knowledge of application information required, screening processes and policies regarding rentals.
• Responsible for playing an active role in the renewal process.
• Develop and maintain an on-going resident retention program under the direction of Property Manager.
• Courteous, efficient handling of resident requests and complaints.
• Responsible for proper maintenance of resident and property files.
• Efficient and timely processing of all required administrative forms reports and related information.
• Responsible for ensuring the “model” apartments and target apartments are ready for show; responsible for maintaining work areas and office in a clean and orderly manner; need to have an awareness of the “curb appeal” of the property.
• Thorough knowledge of lease terms, specifications and all community policies.
• Knowledge of required telephone and sales techniques.
• Knowledge of current market conditions.
• Responsible for “shopping” competitive properties and completing market updates.
• Responsible for maintaining a leasing closing ratio that meets company policy and requirements.
• Fully informed of current rental rates, sizes, locations and all amenities of property.
• Responsible for participating in the marketing of the property as directed.
• Responsible for always operating within OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Act) standards and company Safety policies.
• Comply with all industry Fair Housing rules.
• Responsible for reporting unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the property or residents.
• Responsible for always maintaining a professional appearance and attitude.
• Responsible for seeking educational opportunities and self-improvement for personal growth and development.
• Anything else that the Property Manager feels may fall into the Leasing Consultant’s job description.

• At least 1 years experience in leasing – market rate properties is required.
• Social media and marketing experience is required.
• Event planning and coordination is required.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of government subsidy programs.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook and Excel.
• Be able to pass a Kari Koskinen background check before employment.
