Heavy Equipment Mechanic - Field & Shop Service

This is a Union position, so the expected pay range is based on Union scale for International Union of Operating Engineers Local 49 (MN).

As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic (Union) in the yard/shop at Lunda Construction, reporting to the Shop Manager, you will have the opportunity to:

Description:

* Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment and diesel trucks

* Perform preventative maintenance following manufacturer standards

* Repair engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, HVAC, brakes, suspension, and drive trains

* Use diagnostic tools, hand tools, power tools, cranes, and hoists

* Complete electronic service documentation accurately and efficiently

* Maintain a clean, organized, and professional service truck and work area

* Work safely and follow all company and regulatory safety policies

Requirements

* Diesel or heavy equipment technical training or equivalent experience

* One (1) or more years of Heavy Equipment experience preferred

* Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL preferred)

* Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

* Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and work in an active environment
