School-Based Social Worker

Qualifications &

Experience:

• Licensed or eligible for licensure as a School Social Worker
• Demonstrated experience working with school-aged children, specifically within special education settings
• Knowledge of best practices in crisis intervention, counseling, and student support services
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, staff, and families
• Commitment to fostering a positive and respectful school climate

• Provide direct social work services to students with IEPs or 504 Plans, ensuring their needs are met in accordance with education goals
• Conduct assessments and develop intervention strategies tailored to individual and group needs
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and outside agencies to facilitate student success and connect resources
• Support IEP process through documentation, progress monitoring, and active participation in team meetings
• Promote preventive and therapeutic programs to address bullying, mental health issues, and adjustment challenges
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to ethical and legal standards in all student interactions

This contract position follows a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., aligned with the school calendar for the  school year, with the opportunity for continuation.
