Position: RLA Teacher 3-5

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site RLA (Reading, Language Arts) Teacher position for grades 3–5 at Travis Elementary in Rosenberg, TX.

The RLA Teacher will:

  • Plan and deliver TEKS-aligned, rigorous instruction
  • Design engaging lessons that promote reading comprehension, writing development, and academic vocabulary
  • Use formative and benchmark data to adjust instruction and close learning gaps
  • Monitor student progress and provide targeted intervention
  • Collaborate with grade-level teams and instructional staff during PLCs
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians
  • Foster a structured, positive classroom culture with high expectations for all learners
Qualifications
  • Valid Texas Teaching Certification (required)
  • Bilingual Certification required for Dual Language teaching positions
  • ESL Certification required for all other classroom teaching positions
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
  • Experience teaching elementary RLA, preferably grades 3–5
  • Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills
  • Demonstrated ability to use student data to drive instructional decisions
  • Experience differentiating instruction to meet the needs of emergent bilingual students
  • Commitment to high expectations, collaboration, and continuous professional growth growth in students.
