* Measures and records vital signs and medical histories for patients.
* Obtains laboratory samples;
Driving for specimen delivery as a backup only.
* Performs data entry of health records.
* Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms following patient examinations.
* Assists with patient appointments and answer phone calls.
* Ensures exam rooms are appropriately stocks with needed medical supplies.
* Secures patient information by completing and safeguarding medical records;
Keeps patient information confidential.
* Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
** REQUIREMENTS:
*** High School Diploma/GED.
* Certification/Registration as a Medical Assistant.
* 1 year job related experience working in a clinical setting. Phlebotomy experience preferred.
* Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills, ability to deal effectively with the public and other employees.
* May required working during the weekends and after hours based on the needs of the department.
** STARTING SALARY RANGE:** $18.31 - $22.89 hourly based on qualifications
