Technology Bond Deployment Supervisor

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Primary

Purpose:

Lead and supervise the Technology Deployment team responsible for receiving, inventorying, preparing, deploying, and tracking district technology devices purchased with bond funds, including iPads, student laptops, staff laptops, carts, and desktop computers. Coordinate daily work related to bond-funded technology deployment projects and associated support for bond-funded devices. Partner with Technology Support & Services to ensure effective basic support processes for bond-funded iPads and student laptops, monitor team performance, and maintain accurate records, service workflows, and deployment standards.

This position is assigned only to bond-related work and is contingent on the availability of district bond funds.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities and Duties:

* Supervise and support the daily work of the Technology Deployment team, including assigning work, monitoring performance, and helping maintain efficient operations for bond-funded technology projects.

* Monitor employee performance and productivity and provide coaching and corrective feedback as needed.

* Provide guidance, training, and day-to-day support to staff related to bond-funded deployment procedures, inventory practices, customer service expectations, and basic troubleshooting processes.

* Coordinate the receiving, inventory, staging, and deployment of district technology devices and related equipment purchased with bond funds, including iPads, student laptops, staff laptops, carts, and desktop computers.

* Oversee bond-funded device deployment activities and help ensure items are received, tracked, stored, distributed, and supported accurately and on schedule.

* Monitor staff completion of device preparation, labeling, configuration, distribution, collection, exchange, and inventory tasks for bond-funded technology items.

* Coordinate with Technology Support & Services to align processes for basic support of bond-funded iPads and student laptops and ensure appropriate escalation of issues beyond established procedures.

* Monitor service workflows, ticket documentation, inventory records, and deployment records related to bond-funded technology items to support accuracy, accountability, and timely follow-through.

* Maintain organized warehouse, storage, and staging areas and monitor the handling of bond-funded devices, accessories, carts, and other sensitive equipment.

* Coordinate transportation and delivery schedules for bond-funded equipment between district locations as assigned.

* Review and help resolve routine operational issues related to bond-funded deployment, receiving, inventory, and basic device support.

* Promote courteous and timely customer service for students, staff, campuses, and departments supported by the team in connection with bond-funded technology projects.

* Correct unsafe conditions in the work area when possible and report non-correctable issues to the supervisor immediately.

* Know and practice proper safety procedures in lifting, transporting, and handling equipment required for the job.

* Attendance at work is an essential function.

* Other duties as assigned by the supervisor or designee within the scope of bond-funded technology projects.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum Experience:

* Three years of experience in technology deployment, device support, inventory management, warehousing, or related technology operations preferred

* Supervisory or lead experience preferred

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

Education/Certification:

* High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent required

* Associate degree, technical training, or additional job-related coursework preferred

* Valid Texas driver's license (appropriate type or class)

* Eligible for coverage under the District's vehicle insurance program

Special Knowledge/

Skills:

* Knowledge of device deployment processes, inventory control, warehousing practices, and routine troubleshooting for iPads, student laptops, staff laptops, carts, and desktop computers
