Summary
The assembler puts together various products such as service equipment, reading detailed instructions to ensure products are created efficiently and correctly.
Essential Duties- Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures.
- Collect all material and equipment needed to begin the process.
- Take precision measurements to ensure perfect fit of components.
- Select or modify components according to measurements and specifications.
- Align material and assemble parts to build more complex units.
- Check output to ensure highest quality.
- Maintain equipment in good condition.
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Minimum one year manufacturing experience.
- Basic math skills, including calculator use.
- Proven experience as an assembler.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Cross-referencing documents and parts.
- Use of hand tools (torque screwdrivers).
- Leadership capability.
- Effective communication skills.
- Strong work ethic.
- Sense of urgency.
- Positive attitude.
- Honesty and integrity.
This is a full‑time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday: 7:00‑3:30 pm or 3:30‑12:00 am. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as duties demand.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment Lifting and Carrying- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items up to 50 lbs (sometimes more).
- Task repeats 6‑7 times per 8‑hour shift.
- Ability to stand for extended periods (8‑12 hours).
- Frequent walking throughout the floor to clean, allocate, receive, pack/unpack materials and parts.
- Regularly need to bend, twist, kneel, or squat.
- Frequently reach above shoulders or below the waist.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with hands (assembling small parts, packing, sorting).
- Use of small hand tools, requiring fine motor skills.
- Visual acuity (with or without corrective lenses) to read labels, gauges, blueprints, or assembly instructions.
- Tolerance for light noise, dust, and light soldering smoke.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts; must wear PPE – steel‑toed shoes, safety glasses, protective gloves, electrostatic control coat.
